2014 Kansas Farmers Union Convention: Join us in “The Little Apple”

The Kansas Farmers Union board of directors overwhelmingly decided at their April 14 meeting to hold the organization’s 2014 annual convention December 4-6 at the Sheraton 4 Points hotel in Manhattan, KS.

Nestled in the heart of the scenic Flint Hills, Manhattan is a thriving center for trade, education, government, health care, and entertainment. The Manhattan area features Kansas State University, fine arts, the beauty of nature, and a wide range of other qualifications and attractions.

KFU staff will work over the next few months to arrange all of the details on the 2014 convention, and would like to know your thoughts on speaker recommendations and sights and tours you would like to take in during our stay. Please contact the KFU office or any member of the KFU staff to make recommendations. We hope you’ll “Meet us in Manhattan” for state convention!

2015 National Farmers Union  Convention: “Family Farming in the Heart of America”

Mark your calendars, and make plans to attend National Farmers Union’s 2015 annual convention at the Hyatt Regency hotel, March 14-17 in Wichita, KS.

As an industrial hub and the largest city in the state, Wichita is an area center of culture, media, and trade. It hosts several large museums, theatres, parks, and entertainment venues. Wichita is also home to two large shopping centers, Towne East Square and Towne West Square, as well as the Century II Performing Arts & Convention Center and Kansas’s largest airport, Wichita Dwight D. Eisenhower National Airport.

NFU and KFU staff have begun preliminary planning  for the national convention, and would be appreciative of suggestions for possible speakers and tour locations. Please contact the state office, or any KFU staffer to make suggestions. Since national convention will be in our own backyard, we’d love to see a great crowd of KFU members in attendance!

If you are interested in getting involved and helping make this the best national convention ever we would welcome your help.
