Farmers’ markets are growing across the state and continue to be an important source of fresh fruit, vegetables, meat, dairy and other agricultural products from small towns to large metropolitan areas. In 2015, 56 farmers’ markets were registered with the Kansas Department of Agriculture’s Central Registration of Farmers’ Markets. To support Kansas’ farmers’ markets, KDA and KSRE are pleased to offer the following workshop:

Anyone interested in learning how to be a better farmers’ market vendor or produce grower should attend this daylong workshop co-sponsored by K-State Research & Extension and the Kansas Department of Agriculture. Sessions will cover information for any market vendor as well as information on growing produce in Kansas.
