This free webinar is specifically for farmers who grow, harvest or pack fresh produce to sell. The training will cover in more detail the important topics of cleaning and sanitizing for produce growers to help growers to be able to do the following:

  • Identify potential dry and wet sanitation procedures to develop effective sanitation programs
  • Describe key practices in effective cleaning and sanitation of food contact and non-food contact surfaces
  • Explain the roles of detergents and sanitizers and different factors that influence their effectiveness
  • Understand the differences and similarities between common sanitizers and how they work

The training will be conducted by Kansas State University Extension and the University of Missouri Extension. The webinar will include videos, sharing information, and time for questions. The same content will be presented on July 9 from 3-4:30PM and on July 14 from 6:30-8PM, so growers can join either session.

The zoom link for accessing the training online will be sent 1 day before the training.
